An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FDSN performing flight AC-919 from Miami,FL (USA) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 122 people on board, was on approach to Toronto about 110 nm south of the airport when the captain's windshield shattered. The crew declared emergency, worked the relevant checklists and continued for a safe landing on runway 33L about 25 minutes later. The Canadian TSB reported the captain's windshield shattered prompting the crew to declare emergency. After landing without further incident maintenance replaced the windshield and its window heat computer.
