A Central Mountain Air de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-GRUR performing flight 9M-9436 from Edmonton,AB to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 10 people on board, was climbing out of Edmonton when after retracting the gear the crew received a gear door open indication for the nose gear and vibrating noise from the nose gear. The crew slowed the aircraft, recycled the gear however with no change. The crew extended the gear again which ceased the vibrations, advised ATC they had a gear door problem possibly due to a flat tyre and continued the flight to Calgary at reduced speed. The aircraft landed safely on Calgary's runway 10 with emergency services on stand by about 40 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance could not reproduce the gear door fault, however found a main gear door retract tube was badly leaking.
