A J-Air Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Japan Airlines, registration JA206J performing flight XM-2362/JL-2362 from Oita to Osaka Itami (Japan) with 52 passengers and 3 crew, had landed on Itami Airport's runway 32R, slowed safely and was about to turn off the runway when the crew reported a right hand engine (CF34) fire indication. The crew shut the engine down and activated the engine fire suppression system after which the fire indication extinguished. Emergency services responded and cleared the aircraft to continue taxi to the gate, where the passengers disembarked normally.

Japan's Ministry of Transport reported that evidence of an engine fire was found during an engine examination. Japan's TSB (Transportation Safety Board) have opened an investigation into the occurrence and dispatched three investigators on site.
