The aircraft had been serviced in Lima after on the outbound flight AA-917 the quantity indication for the center hydraulic system had dropped from nearly full to less than half full. Maintenance in Lima refilled the system, performed leak tests and flight control tests with no findings and released the aircraft.
A maintenance team flown in from Miami replaced 4 spoiler actuators before returning the aircraft to service.
The incident aircraft positioned to Miami on Apr 24th and resumed service immediately after arrival.
