A Swiss European Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration HB-IXV performing flight LX-1342 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Warsaw (Poland) with 21 passengers and 4 crew, was enroute at FL310 about 40nm east of Munich (Germany) when the crew reported a hydraulic failure requiring no assistance on the ground and decided to return to Zurich. The aircraft landed safely on Zurich's runway 34 about 45 minutes later and taxied to the apron, the crew affirming to tower they had nose wheel steering.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto the next flight.
