A Lauda Europe Airbus A320-200 on behalf of Ryanair, registration 9H-LOQ performing flight FR-689 from Vienna (Austria) to Madrid,SP (Spain), was on approach to Madrid's runway 32R descending through about 7000 feet MSL when a vulture was ingested by the right hand engine (CFM56), the engine shut down as result. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 32R.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Madrid for 6 days, positioned to Vienna and resumed service on Aug 20th 2025.
