The airport was closed for about 4 hours then the decision was made to re-open the runway after displacing the threshold of runway 19 by 580 meters.
The aircraft is being unloaded before the aircraft can be towed to the apron.
The crew reported the braking system failed so that the aircraft did not slow properly. In order to prevent an overrun into rough terrain the crew steered the aircraft to the left where soft ground bogged down/helped to slow the aircraft.
Brazil's CENIPA (Center of Accident Investigation and Prevention) have opened an investigation.
