An Emirates Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration A6-EDK performing flight EK-17 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Manchester,EN (UK), landed on Manchester's runway 05L but needed to stop on the runway after landing due to the loss of nose wheel steering. The aircraft was towed to the apron about 20 minutes later.

The incident aircraft was able to depart for its return EK-18 with a delay of 70 minutes.
