An Indigo Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration VT-IYA performing flight 6E-7966 from Ahmedabad to Diu (India) with 70 people on board, was accelerating for takeoff from Ahmedabad's runway 05 when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed (about 15 knots over ground) due to a fire warning for the left hand engine (PW127M). The aircraft stopped on the runway.

India's DGCA opened an investigation.

The airline reported a technical snag, the aircraft returned to the apron.

The aircraft is still on the ground about 11 hours after the rejected takeoff.
