A Bukovyna Aviation Enterprise McDonnell Douglas MD-88 on behalf of Taban Air, registration UR-CIX performing flight HH-6342 from Kiev (Ukraine) to Tehran Imam Khomeini (Iran), had just reached cruise level 310 when the crew detected problems with the cabin pressure, descended the aircraft to FL250 and returned to Kiev for a safe landing about one hour after departure.

The incident aircraft was able to depart again after about 7 hours on the ground.

Ukraine's Ministry of Transport reported in their monthly bulletin that a leak in the pressure sensing line caused the malfunction of the augmentation valve regulating bleed air pressure.
