A KLM Boeing 787-9, registration PH-BHD performing flight KL-759 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to San Jose (Costa Rica), had been enroute at FL380 across the Atlantic and was descending towards San Jose when the crew reported their left hand windshield had cracked and requested priority. The aircraft landed safely on San Jose's runway 07.

The return flight was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground in San Jose about 64 hours after landing.
