A TUI Airways Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration G-TUMP performing flight BY-432 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Sal (Cape Verde), was climbing through about 1000 feet out of Gatwick's runway 26L when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 after two swans impacted the aircraft nose and windshield. The aircraft entered a hold before positioning to land back on Gatwick's runway 26L about 50 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-8 MAX registration G-TUMX reached Sal with a delay of about 3 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in London about 54 hours after landing back.
