A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration 9V-SKC performing flight SQ-232 from Sydney,NS (Australia) to Singapore (Singapore), was enroute near Jakarta (Indonesia) when a male passenger (72) suffered symptoms of a heart attack prompting the crew to divert to Jakarta for a safe landing. The patient accompanied by his wife was taken to a hospital, but had to be pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The aircraft reached Singapore with a delay of 2:20 hours.
