A Norwegian Air Sweden AOC Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration SE-RYC performing flight D8-2961 from Rhodes (Greece) to Helsinki (Finland) with 116 people on board, was enroute when the aircraft encountered turbulence causing two flight attendants to receive injuries. The aircraft continued to Helsinki for a safe landing.

The aircraft continued the planned sectors on schedule.

On August 15 Finland's Onnettomuustutkintakeskus announced, they have opened an investigation into the occurrence that had two cabin crew injured while flying through turbulent airflow.
