Passengers reported the aircraft departed with a delay of about 3 hours due to some electric problem. Enroute a smell of burning rubber developed from the back of the aircraft prompting the diversion to Goose Bay.
A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration G-VIIL positioned to Goose Bay, continued the flight and reached London with a delay of about 13 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Goose Bay until Jul 14th and departed Goose Bay for London about 60 hours after landing and resumed service about 15 hours after landing at Heathrow.
