A United Boeing 777-200, registration N799UA performing flight UA-935 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Los Angeles,CA (USA), was climbing out of London when a loud bang was heard from one of the forward doors. The crew decided to continue the flight, the aircraft climbed to FL320, later FL340 and was enroute at FL340 near Reykjavik (Iceland) about 2 hours into the flight when the crew decided to turn around and return to London. The aircraft initially descended to FL330, then FL320, but descended to FL180 near the Faroe Islands, later attempted to climb to FL210 followed by a descent to FL170, and landed safely on London Heathrow's runway 27R about 2.5 hours after turning around.

A passenger reported that following the huge bang from one of the forward doors shortly after departure from London there was an obvious problem with the cabin pressurization, the captain however announced they were continuing the flight. About 3 hours into the flight the captain however decided to return to London due to cabin pressurization problems.

The flight was cancelled.
