The aircraft remained on the ground for about 2 hours, then departed again and was enroute at FL360 about 170nm north of Sacramento, when the crew again decided to divert to Sacramento due to the same problem surfacing again. The aircraft landed safely again on runway 17L about one hour after departure from Sacramento.
A replacement Boeing 737-900 registration N306AS reached Seattle with a delay of about 8 hours.
Sacramento airport reported the aircraft reported electrical problems.
The airline reported a mechanical problem prompted the aircraft to divert, maintenance met the flight and thought to have fixed the issue. However, the issue repeated and forced the aircraft back a second time. Later the airline added a backup generator system required inspection.
