A S7 Siberia Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration VP-BTQ performing flight S7-1153 from Moscow Domodedovo to Rostov (Russia) with 50 passengers, landed on Rostov's runway 22 in low visibility and snow fall but overran the end of the runway by about 40 meters and came to a stop on the paved surface of the runway end safety area. The passengers disembarked onto the runway end safety area via stairs.

The aerodrome was closed for about 2 hours until the aircraft was moved to the apron.

Russia's Ministry of Interior reported the aircraft went 40 meters past the end of the runway due to poor braking action according to preliminary data. There were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.
