A Swiss International Airlines Airbus A320-200N, registration HB-JDE performing flight LX-1254 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Stockholm (Sweden) with 161 passengers on board, was accelerating for takeoff from Zurich's runway 32 when a bird impacted the nose gear prompting the crew to reject takeoff at high speed (about 120 KIAS). The aircraft slowed safely, stopped on the runway for an inspection by emergency services and returned to the apron.

The rotation was cancelled, the passengers on both flights LX-1254 and return flight LX-1255 were rebooked onto other flights.
