A United Boeing 737-900, registration N31412 performing flight UA-2260 from Houston Intercontinental,TX to Fort Myers,FL (USA) with 101 passengers and 7 crew, landed on Fort Myers' runway 24 at 23:16L (03:16Z Apr 12th) when after touchdown the aft galley oven continued to move at flying speed when the aircraft decelerated. A flight attendant in the aft galley attempted to restrain the oven and received an injury in that attempt.

On Jan 24th 2023 the NTSB released their final report reporting the flight attendant received a serious injury (fracture of her left forearm) and concluded the probable cause of the accident was:

missing attach screws on the aft galley oven, which allowed it to become dislodged landing, injuring a flight attendant.

The NTSB analysed:

Post flight examination found multiple attach screws on the bottom of the oven were missing, which allowed the oven to slide out of its compartment during the landing. Subsequent to the accident, the operator conducted a fleet inspection of the oven housing attach screws.
