A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N752SW performing flight WN-1096 from Sacramento,CA to Burbank,CA (USA), was climbing out of Sacramento's runway 17R when the crew stopped the climb at 4000 feet following a bird strike. The aircraft returned to Sacramento for a safe landing on runway 17L about 25 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N452WN reached Burbank with a delay of about 2:15 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Sacramento about 17 hours after landing back.
