A Singapore Boeing 777-300, registration 9V-SWV performing flight SQ-333 (dep Sep 8th) from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Singapore (Singapore) with 229 passengers and 18 crew, was enroute at FL330 about 220nm south of Baku (Azerbaijan) when the crew decided to divert to Baku reporting an engine (GE90) oil leak. The aircraft landed safely on Baku's runway 34 about 40 minutes later.

The airline confirmed an engine oil leak as cause of the diversion. A replacement aircraft is going to be dispatched to Baku.

A replacement aircraft has not yet landed in Baku about 17 hours after the occurrence aircraft landed in Baku.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Baku about 17 hours after landing.
