The airport was temporarily closed until the aircraft could be moved off the runway.
Japan's Transportation Safety Board rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation dispatching three investigators on site.
The airline said, the reported runway friction values did not match the values experienced during the landing. Prior to the landing snow removal had been conducted, there had been 14cm/5.5 inches of snow.
