An Air Canada Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration C-GMIU performing flight AC-1054 from Vancouver,BC (Canada) to Phoenix,AZ (USA) with 90 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 80nm east of Portland,OR (USA) when the crew received indication of the left Inertial Reference System (IRS) as well as autopilot and auto throttle system. The crew descended the aircraft to FL270 and continued the flight to Phoenix handflying the aircraft and landed safely in Phoenix.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance reset the left IRS and performed an Built In Test Equipment test which showed no fault found.

The aircraft departed for the return flight about 80 minutes after landing.
