A replacement ERJ-195 registration SP-LNK positioned from Warsaw to Dusseldorf, resumed the flight and reached Brussels with a delay of 3.5 hours.
On Mar 23rd 2022 Germany's BFU reported the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by the BFU. The aircraft was enroute at FL340 when there were variations of the cabin pressure, the cabin altitude initially reduced from 6990 to 5550 feet then began to climb again, the crew received a message "PRESN AUTO FAULT". The crew switched from automatic to manual pressure control and requested a descent and was immediately cleared to descend to FL320. Shortly after the cabin altitude warning activated, the crew initiated an emergency descent (average 5000 fpm). During the descent the cabin altitude climbed from initially about 7000 feet to 21.100 feet while descending through FL240. About 7 minutes after the onset of pressure variations and about 5 minutes after reaching the maximum cabin altitude the aircraft reached FL100 and the cabin altitude reduced to 10.000 feet. The aircraft diverted to Dusseldorf.
Following the flight the cabin pressurization control system (consisting of cabin pressure controller CPC and outflow valve) was tested with no findings. The CPC was replaced and sent for further analysis.
