A MNG Airlines Airbus A300-600 freighter, registration TC-MCG performing flight MB-251 from Istanbul (Turkey) to East Midlands,EN (UK), was on final ILS approach to East Midlands' runway 27 about 350 meters/1150 feet short of the runway threshold when the crew initiated a go around. The aircraft climbed to FL330 and diverted to Cologne (Germany). The aircraft was on final approach to Cologne's runway 14L about one hour after the go around in East Midlands, when the crew initiated another go around due to the ILS receiver not working. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 14L but again went around from about 3100 feet MSL due to the other ILS receiver not working, too. The crew declared emergency due to being low on fuel and requested a surveillance radar approach (SRA) to Cologne. The controller talked the aircraft down to a safe landing on runway 14L about 20 minutes after the first go around in Colonge and about 80 minutes after the go around in East Midlands.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 3.5 hours, then performed flight MB-252 from Cologne to Istanbul. The aircraft remained on the ground in Istanbul for about 13 hours before returning to service.

On Dec 10th 2021 Germany's BFU reported the occurrence as described has been reported to them, the occurrence was not rated a serious incident or accident, no investigation has been initiated.
