A KLM Cityhopper Embraer ERJ-175, registration PH-EXP performing flight KL-1841 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Vienna (Austria), was climbing through about FL340 when the crew decided to stop the climb and return to Amsterdam reporting a failed weather radar. The aircraft landed safely back on Amsterdam's runway 18C about 40 minutes after departure.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-190 registration PH-EZT reached Vienna with a delay of about 90 minutes.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours, then returned to service.
