A Voyageur Airways de Havilland Dash 8-100, registration C-GKON performing flight VC-103 from Hamilton,ON to Montreal Mirabel,QC (Canada) with 4 crew, was enroute at FL210 about 70nmeastnortheast of Toronto,ON (Canada) when the crew needed to shut the left hand engine (PW120A) down. The crew turned the aircraft around and diverted to Toronto for a safe landing on runway 05 about 35 minutes later.

On Jul 19th 2021 the Canadian TSB reported the crew received a number 1 engine oil pressure indication and requested to divert to Toronto. The crew carried out the QRH procedures and attempted to feather the engine. The oil pressure continued to drop prompting the crew to shut the engine down. The crew declared emergency and continued for a safe landing in Toronto. Maintenance identified an O-ring connecting the pressure tube to the oil cooler had failed.
