A Skywest Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N752EV performing flight AA-2960 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Tallahassee,FL (USA) with 44 people on board, had just reached the top of climb at FL350 when the crew decided to return to Dallas advising, the aircraft flew just fine, they expected a normal landing however needed a long runway for roll out and would remain on the runway due to not being able to steer the aircraft left or right. The aircraft landed safely on Dallas' runway 17C about 55 minutes after departure.

A replacement CRJ-700 registration N753SK reached Tallahassee with a delay of 5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 25.5 hours after landing.
