A Kalitta Air Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration N403KZ performing flight K4-815 from Anchorage,AK to New York JFK,NY (USA), was enroute at FL350 about 75nm west of Thompson,MB (Canada) when the crew needed to shut the #4 engine (CF6, outboard right hand) down. The aircraft drifted down to FL310 and continued to destination for a safe landing about 3:20 hours later.

On Nov 17th 2020 the Canadian TSB reported the crew received indications of decreasing oil quantity on the #4 engine. A short time later the oil pressure dropped out of limits prompting the crew to perform a precautionary engine shut down. The aircraft continued to destination.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in New York for about 48 hours before returning to service.
