A Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300, registration B-KQM performing flight CX-252 (dep Mar 30th) from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Hong Kong (China), was cleared for the ILS approach to runway 07L and followed the localizer. Descending through about 850 feet the aircraft began to turn right, deviated off the extended runway center line and initiated a go around at about 750 feet. The aircraft climbed on a heading of about 090 degrees (instead of 071 degrees), crossed the runway threshold 07R at about 2000 feet AGL and turned left onto a heading of about 059 degrees and climbed to 5000 feet being subsequently instructed to climb to 6000 feet. Upon query by ATC the crew reported the reason for their go around was an unstable approach. The crew reported they were ready for a second aproach and were vectored for a second ILS approach to runway 07L which concluded in a safe landing on runway 07L about 20 minutes after the go around.
