A Qatar Airways Airbus A330-200, registration A7-ACI performing flight QR-631 from Sialkot (Pakistan) to Doha (Qatar), was enroute at FL380 about 70nm southwest of Multan (Pakistan) when the crew initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks deployed. The aircraft levelled off at FL110 about 8 minutes later and descended to FL080 subsequently. The aircraft diverted to Multan for a safe landing about 45 minutes after leaving FL380.

A replacement Airbus A330-300 registration A7-AED positioned to Multan, departed Multan about 11:45 hours after A7-ACI landed in Multan and delivered the passengers to Doha with a total delay of 36.5 hours. According to information received on Feb 18th 2020 the flight had originally been planned to depart Feb 16th 2020, the runway of Sialkot however was closed on Feb 15th and 16th for maintenance work causing the flight to be postponed to the next day. The flight thus departed Sialkot with a delay of 24 hours.
