A Libyan Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration 5A-LAT performing flight LN-192 from Mitiga (Libya) to Istanbul (Turkey) with 130 people on board, was climbing through FL310 out of Mitiga when the crew was made aware of a possible tyre issue and decided to return to Mitiga. The aircraft landed safely back in Mitiga about 45 minutes after departure.

The aircraft returned to service about 12 hours after landing.

Mitiga Airport reported the aircraft returned due to a malfunction in one of the tyres.
