An Aeroflot Boeing 737-800, registration VQ-BWF performing flight SU-1941 from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia), was on approach to Sheremetyevo's runway 06R when a bird struck the nose gear and got entangled in the nose gear, however, survived the odyssey. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 06R. The bird continued to flap with its left wing trying to get its right wing free.

The occurrence aircraft departed for the next flight about 100 minutes later.
