A GoAir Airbus A320-200N, registration VT-WJA performing flight G8-38 from Delhi (India) to Bangkok (Thailand), was enroute at FL350 about 270nm eastsouteast of Delhi when the crew noticed that they had no navigation charts for Bangkok on board and decided to return to Delhi. The aircraft landed safely back in Delhi about 1:45 hours after departure.

The airline reported VT-WJA was newly acquired and had been assigned to perform domestic routes only. However, due to a last minute swap due to maintenance requirements of the originally assigned aircraft the aircraft was dispatched to Bangkok, however, the needed charts were not supplied to the cockpit.

The charts were supplied to the crew and the aircraft departed Delhi again after about 1:15 hours on the ground and reached Bangkok with a delay of 3:20 hours.
