A KLM Boeing 777-200, registration PH-BQA performing flight KL-591 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Johannesburg (South Africa), was enroute at FL350 over Algeria when the crew decided to turn around and return to Amsterdam. The aircraft landed safely in Amsterdam about 6:10 hours after departure.

A passenger reported the crew announced both weather radars had failed, in addition a fuel quantity indication appeared to be faulty.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 44 hours after landing back.
