A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration 9V-SKN performing flight SQ-336 from Singapore (Singapore) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 311 people on board, was on approach to Charles de Gaulle's runway 27R when the aircraft flew though a flock of birds and received a number of impacts on nose and leading edge of the right hand wing's root. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 27R.

The airline reported the aircraft was cleaned and inspected and was released for the return flight.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5:15 hours, then departed for the return flight SQ-335 and reached Singapore with a delay of about 45 minutes.
