A British Airways Airbus A319-100, registration G-EUPX performing flight BA-438 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was on approach to Amsterdam's runway 22 tracking between SUGOL and SPL waypoints when the crew reported to ATC, the crew of the aircraft following them had just told them they (BA-438) had received a lightning strike overhead SUGOL. The crew advised all operations were normal and continued for a safe landing on runway 22.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Amsterdam until Jun 12th 2019 before positioning back to Heathrow.
