An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N390AA performing flight AA-97 from Budapest (Hungary) to Philadelphia,PA (USA), was enroute at FL340 about 150nm east of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) when the crew decided to divert due to a suspected fuel leak. The aircraft diverted to Frankfurt for a safe landing on runway 25C about 30 minutes after leaving FL340.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 3 hours, then departed again and is estimated to reach Philadelphia with a delay of 3 hours.
