A Transaero Boeing 767-300, registration EI-UNF performing flight UN-103 (dep Oct 13th) from Moscow Domodedovo to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Russia), aborted the approach to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk when the crew could not deploy the flaps into landing position. After working the checklists the crew performed a safe landing with flaps at 20 degrees at a higher than normal speed.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight UN-104 and reached Moscow with a delay of 3.5 hours.
