The aircraft was unable to continue its schedule however and is still on the ground in Alice Springs about 23 hours after landing.
The airport reported 17 dead galahs were found entangled around the aircraft's gear, engines and framework. Maintenance staff has been dispatched from Melbourne to inspect the aircraft during Mar 28th.
