A United Airbus A320-200, registration N484UA performing flight UA-812 from Spokane,WA to Denver,CO (USA), was climbing out of Spokane's runway 03 when the aircraft flew through a flock of geese, a bird impacted the windshield of the aircraft leaving the windshield covered with blood. The crew, also considering the weather and visibility at Spokane, decided to divert to Seattle where the aircraft landed safely about 55 minutes after departure.

The aircraft was able to continue the flight after 90 minutes on the ground and reached Denver with a delay of 3:15 hours.
