A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N456WN performing flight WN-1940 from Santa Ana,CA to Sacramento,CA (USA), was on approach to Sacramento's runway 34L when the aircraft received a bird strike while descending through 2000 feet on a visual approach, they were good though, a pair of those birds hit the side of the aircraft. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 34L about 2-3 minutes later.

The FAA reported the aircraft received a bird strike on approach to Sacramento and sustained unknown damage.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N550WN continued the next sector to Seattle,WA (USA).

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Sacramento 15 hours later.
