An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FDSN performing flight AC-907 from Orlando,FL (USA) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 131 people on board, had just reached cruise level 320 when the crew initiated a descent to 10,000 feet. The crew decided to divert to Tampa,FL due to weather and landed safely in Tampa about 80 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft had been dispatched under minimum equipment list requirements with the #1 bleed air and air conditioning system inoperative. After reaching FL310 the crew received a #2 pack overheat indication requiring to select the #2 air conditioning system off. The crew advised ATC, descended the aircraft to 10,000 feet. After levelling at 10,000 feet the overheat indication extinguished, the air conditioning system was reselected on.
