A JetKonnect Boeing 737-700 on behalf of Jet Airways, registration VT-SIZ performing flight S2-387/9W-2387 from Mumbai to Rajkot (India), was on final approach to Rajkot's runway 23 when the aircraft received a number of bird strikes. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The airport reported at least 4 birds impacted the aircraft.

The aircraft was unable to perform the return flight S2-398/9W-2398 to Mumbai, the flight was cancelled.

Passengers reported they heard several bangs on final approach, the crew indicated they had been impacted by a number of birds.

Most Indian media (except Rajkot local TV stations) reported claiming to quote Rajkot Airport the return flight suffered a number of bird strikes and returned to Rajkot, however, there is no evidence in Mode-S or flight plan data of a departure for flight S2-398.
