Saudi Arabia's AIB dispatched investigators on site and opened an investigation into the occurrence rated a serious incident.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Jeddah for 99 hours and then positioning back to Dubai.
In 2019 Saudi Arabia's AIB reported the aircraft operated with the left hand environmental control system (ECS) PACK failure that could not be reset since after departure. Descending through FL255 towards Abha the cabin altitude warning horn sounded and the passenger oxygen masks were released. The crew requested to divert to Taif, which was denied, the aircraft subsequently diverted to Jeddah. There were no injuries and no damage. No further information was provided in the narrative not associated with any formal reports.
