A Capital Airlines Beijing Airbus A321-200, registration B-8200 performing flight JD-421 from Hangzhou (China) to Nha Trang (Vietnam) with 211 people on board, was climbing through FL300 out of Hangzhou when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence and jolted. The crew subsequently decided to return to Hangzhou reporting a window had cracked. The aircraft landed safely back in Hangzhou about 100 minutes after departure.

The airline reported it was not a windshield that had cracked other than passengers had claimed.
