An Air China Cargo Boeing 747-400, registration B-2455 performing freight flight CA-1050 from Copenhagen (Denmark) to Shanghai (China), aborted the climb out of Copenhagen's runway 04R and levelled off at 6000 feet after the crew reported problems with the nose gear. The crew decided to return to Copenhagen, dumped fuel, requested a tow ready on arrival and a long vector to runway 04R and subsequently performed a safe landing on Copenhagen's runway 04R about 90 minutes after departure. The airplane was towed off the runway.

China Air said, the aircraft suffered a technical problem at the nose gear.

The airplane was able to depart Copenhagen 2 days later.

Denmark's HCL reported on Sep 13th 2012 that the aircraft suffered a hydraulic leak resulting in the failure of the #1 hydraulic system. The aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Copenhagen, but needed to be towed off the runway due to the failure of nose wheel steering. A nose wheel door actuator was found leaking hydraulic fluid.
