A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N442WN performing flight WN-4880 from Seattle,WA to Sacramento,CA (USA), was on final approach to Sacramento's runway 16R when a bird impacted the aircraft. The crew continued for a safe landing on runway 16R.

The FAA reported the aircraft sustained minor damage as result of the bird strike on final approach.

The aircraft was unable to continue its schedule and the next sector to Ontario,CA (USA) and is still on the ground in Sacramento about 18 hours after landing.
