An Air France Airbus A321-200, registration F-GTAP performing flight AF-6252 from Paris Orly to Bordeaux (France), was in the initial climb out of Orly's runway 24 when the crew reported an engine (CFM56) fire indication, stopped the climb at 3000 feet and returned to Orly for a safe landing on runway 26 about 11 minutes after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped clear of the runway for an inspection by emergency services. The aircraft continued taxi to the apron about 5 minutes after landing.

The airline reported a technical problem on one of the engines prompted the return to Orly.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
